The small school that makes a massive difference.

On behalf of the staff, governors and pupils, I would like to offer you a warm welcome to Brompton and Sawdon Community Primary School. I hope our website allows you the opportunity to see just what makes our school such a special and unique place to learn.

We aspire to provide the highest quality education and the broadest range of amazing experiences and opportunities for our children, in the classroom and beyond, where every individual is valued, nurtured and supported to be their very best. We intend that every child leaves Brompton and Sawdon having achieved just that and is able to draw upon a wealth of happy memories of their time with us.

Everything that we do is underpinned by putting the needs of the children first. Through our School Pillars of Family, Nature, Respect, Rainbow and Ready to Fly, we foster a positive attitude, resilience, a lifelong love of learning and a determination to be our very best. Ultimately, we intend that every child is fully prepared to thrive in, and influence, our ever-changing world.

We know how lucky we are to have such a beautiful, tranquil and rural setting. As a Wild School, we truly embrace this, grasping every opportunity to allow the children to learn and explore outdoors. Our teaching and learning is inspired by nature and we intend that every member of our community develops a sense of responsibility for the environment – at a local and global scale.

We also pride ourselves on our ethos of being a ‘Brompton Family’. We want our pupils to strive to be the very best that they can be in a supportive and inviting environment, where they feel safe and make a positive contribution. We want them to be happy in school, be confident and enjoy their time with us. We recognise that every child is unique, value each as an individual, and provide them with a secure and friendly learning environment in which they are nurtured and encouraged to develop their own skills and talents.

If you would like to visit our school or would simply like to know more, please do contact us. We would love to hear from you and welcome you into our school family!
