Pupil Premium at Brompton and Sawdon Primary School
Pupil premium payments are allocated to local authorities and schools with pupils that meet certain criteria. Free School meals being one of them. Families who receive any type of benefit are usually eligible but parents must complete an application for this to be activated.
We carefully plan to use this funding to address inequalities, tackle disadvantage and support the raising of attainment for the identified children in our school. We do this with discretion and in confidence. As we have relatively few children in school, we are proud to be able to take a really personalised approach to this, meaning that we can have the biggest impact possible on the children’s learning, experiences, aspirations and wellbeing.
To maintain discretion, impact data will always be presented (or at times kept within school) to seek to avoid immediate identification of identifiable individuals within the school.
The progress of children who receive Pupil Premium funding is closely monitored through the school year and adaptations, support or resources put in place to ensure that they make the best possible progress. Parent voice is vital in this – we appreciate and seek parent views to support the process of planning and review.
