Cayley’s Cuttings is our school Garden Centre! Any of our children can enjoy staffing it most lunch times, and sometimes after school. They take care of the school garden, grow fruit and vegetables for the school kitchen and tend to the school gardens. The gardening team also take cuttings and nurture these into mature plants for the garden, for the garden centre shop, or as gifts. We try to use nature-friendly approaches in all that we do.
Cayley’s Cuttings is a great way for the children to develop a whole range of skills and attributes which they will be able to draw upon in later life, as well as developing a love of working outdoors amongst nature. There are lots of different roles for the children to try, such as Marketing Managers, Social Media Team, Research Assistants, Sales Team, Construction Team, Health and Safety Officer, Treasurer and Wildlife Officer to name a few!
